Buying a house in Texas is an exciting time. Everything seems to be shiny and new. The common culture today, if buying locally in Houston, is to drive through the neighborhoods in which you would like to live and look at the houses for sale. One house sets itself apart from the rest. It is destiny, and you even see a sign for a realtor in the front yard. The hard part is over, right? Wrong!
How should you find a realtor in Houston, Texas? A realtor is the real estate professional with whom you are trusting to provide you with your next big investment, a new house in Texas. Houston realtors are few and far between. All realtors advertise that they are the best, how hard they will work for you, how honest and caring they are, and etc. Do you really know what you are contracting for when you sign with a realtor?

“My wife and I first stopped by Perry Homes and spoke with a sales rep interested to purchase a new inventory home. We were considering to sign the contract but didn’t feel that our questions were answered 100%. One of our fellow church member who purchased a new build recommended his realtor. We consider ourselves very lucky to have found Calvin. We’ve explained to Calvin that we really loved the Perry Home at the location close to 288. We met him at the sales office the following weekend. Calvin started educating us about the surrounding area. Train tracks near by, landfill on the other side of the neighborhood (many complaints about odor by existing home owners and ongoing class action lawsuit), many chemical plants near by, and on and on and on. We had no idea. So we looked at other homes with Calvin within his recommendations, and found 1 within our budget and 1 that we fell in love with that was out of our budget. Calvin later said that he saw the look on our faces when we were touring the house we fell in love with. Calvin told us he will speak with the builder to see about bringing the price down. I don’t know what he did, but they brought the price down after it has already been reduced. Later, I found out that Calvin even gave up his 1% bonus during negotiation. Calvin not only negotiated the price of the house, but he also negotiated with the lender bringing down 1/4 of a percent interest rate and discounts in lender fees and contribution toward our closing costs from lender. From beginning until closing, Calvin looked after us. If you are looking to buying a house, you must have Calvin represent you! I highly recommend him!“

    Zillow 5 Star Review  Highly recommend Calvin. He has been around the area doing real estate for decades that he provides historical context as well as developments with sophisticated knowledge. We had an introductory call where he listened to our needs and general profile then knew exactly how to engage with us and help us find a good home. He’s responsive - we were looking for a home while traveling internationally so he helped us do virtual tours and made sure our discussions didn’t get delayed due to time difference. He has genuine care for the client to know what to look for so you are stuck with a house that has undiscovered problems along the way. I’m today’s crazy competitive housing market in Houston, you need someone like Calvin to find a home that you can really be satisfied with.     Zillow 5 Star Review  I can't begin to say how wonderful it was to work with Calvin. It took us a long time to put our house on the market and Calvin was always working with us the entire way. His knowledge of real estate and properties was superb. He was extremely helpful in bouncing ideas and discussing strategies. Calvin is the realtor who can deal with high level strategy but also deal with all the details in a deal. I always felt confident that if there something issues in the process, Calvin would find it and ensure everyone understood the issue. I'd give him more than 5 stars if I could.
